Herb King (co-founder)
Herb is the surprise spice in this recipe. Herb's background of overcoming the "Cannots" and the "No Ways" provides the team with frequent opportunities needing innovative solutions. An entrepreneur at heart, Herb's years of unique solutions have been welcomed by thousands of distributors and their mutual customers. He takes every opportunity to add humor to the mix to ensure that fun accompanies every innovation.
John Wootton (co-founder)
John adds the balance of age to this young, energetic team. John is an experienced, degreed, technical leader, with many years in corporate America as a senior executive. At heart, his passion is as a practicing, hands on innovative engineer, committed to finding innovative solutions to real world problems. John has a plethora of patents and was recognized as Missouri Inventor of the Year for 1999. He serves as the team's grizzled older kid.
Chris creates solutions that work, generally unaccompanied by buzzwords. He's our all-singing, all-dancing electrical engineering and software creating element - if it can hurt you with electrons, he's probably trying to avoid touching terminals incorrectly and telling it what to do in unambiguous parenthetically bounded statements. Also a man of patents and a graduate with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, circumstantial evidence suggests that he has collaborated with Matt prior to this. A developer and organizer, he takes ideas (and outright messes) then techno-magically generates working prototypes.
Caitlin’s focus is on creating software and hardware solutions that not only work, but also improve the user’s experience. Hailing from the West cost, but spending much of her last 4 years on the East coast at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, Caitlin has landed squarely in the middle (St. Louis) where she inspires the rest of the Ivani team with her dedication, passion, and creativity. Always up for a technical challenge, she is comfortable diving head first into problems and sees each as a puzzle to be solved.
Matt Wootton (co-founder)
Matt specializes in creating quick turnaround innovative solutions to real problems using systems engineering. An engineer at heart, he has 5 granted patents, with an additional 8 patent applications. He holds his ASEP certification from INCOSE, B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, and MBA from Walden University. Always up for a challenge and a laugh, he is comfortable with the unknown, confident that he can find some way to make sense of it.
Rachel is our Business Operations Lead. She catches anything that is falling through the cracks and loves to learn anything she can. She is a graduate of Centre College with a B.S. in Math and Economics. In her free time, she helps rescue animals with Willow Creek Sanctuary, runs, and reads.
Justin McKinney (co-founder)
Justin is crazy about people. He's a mighty fan of other Ivanians and he loves to talk with customers and potential collaborators. He has his MBA from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, worked at the #1 Golf Company in the world for 8 years, and has been in sales and marketing roles for the last 13 years. He is an NCAA All American Golfer, former Natural Bodybuilder (key word = former), avid birdwatcher, hunter, and lover of all things innovative.
Jonathan makes the workplace anything but dull. He lives in the land between hardware and software and is always up to dive headfirst into something new. He is a graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. He is an avid concert-goer, record collector, and radio disc jockey. His passion for music provides balance to his engineering skill set, and allows him to bring fun and innovative solutions to the team.
Matt’s passion is driving development through the creative application of software and puns. Not afraid of a challenge, Matt thrives in the quest for solutions to real-world problems. He holds a B.S. in Robotics from the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, although he continues to grab every opportunity to learn. Outside of work, he can be found rooting for the Cardinals and attempting to juggle his many hobbies.
Zhen comes to Ivani with great zeal for electrical engineering and uses this to create cutting edge, benefits-laden products. Having spent the last few years in a hotbed of engineering (Terre Haute), he spent 4 grueling years achieving his EE degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Then Zhen decided to inflict more pain upon himself and achieved his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. In his spare time, Zhen designs smart home networks, codes like it’s nobody’s business, and hangs out with his dog and cat, Arthur and Jim Bob respectively.
